Spring Fling

I've been feeling these cutesy spring colors.. white, light pinks, mint blues, lime greens and light neutrals. Perhaps its the spring fever, or maybe I'm just turning into a girly girl.

If you're an online shopping Nazi like me, you know that American Apparel frequently has AMAZING $5-$10-$15 sales...

Snagged the top and pants for $15 total!

The socks and shoes are definitely risky but I like to be out of the box when I feel up to it. And in honor of the beautiful weather we were experiencing I thought I'd add a little floral touch to my spring inspired outfit!

Shoes from Forever 21 (last year), socks from Urban Outfitters.

Rose gold is also a new favorite of mine. The necklace is from JustFab.

Hooray for melted snow and 50 degree weather! (fingers crossed) xx

Burgundy Sunday

Hello! My first Sunday post! Just a quick overview of what I wore today.

Can you believe it's almost spring? I'm trying to get the most out of my winter wear while I'm still in my zone, so I wore this fur vest from Choies with a basic black sweater and burgundy high waist jeans from GoJane.

I'm absolutely in love with this wide brim hat from Asos. I've only had it for two days but I plan to wear it with everything.

Boots stolen from my mom's closet, by Vince Camuto.

For a finishing touch, my signature accessories, extra extra large hoops and a Texas necklace. xx

A glimpse of Maui

So you probably think I forgot about my blog, I know, but I'm just now getting back into the swing of things now that I'm settled into my new home and all and I think now is the perfect time to bring it back! Just know that my blog is going to be SERIOUSLY revamped. I am definitely into home decor more-so now that I have my own home! SO hopefully you'll see some of that in the near future.

As of late I haven't been as fashionable on a regular basis, mostly because I'm a newlywed and well, I'm straight chillin, for lack of better word. So, I thought I would share with you some of my honeymoon photos, because Maui is the most beautiful place I've ever been to, and we got some great photos, with Canon and an iPhone. I just cant keep these photos to myself!

One of my favorites outfits I wore. Asos tank and mini skirt, sweater from my favorite Dallas consignment shop, ShopMieux (click here to get 15% off your first purchase!), and Forever 21 fedora.

Also, for those who follow my YouTube channel, you know how finicky I am with my hair, I never keep the same style for long. But, this hair has lasted me through thick and thin! Although I am natural, I opted to wear straight hair and try to keep my leave out covered as much as possible, because it was less fuss for me to deal with every morning. I wore my favorite Jace Beauty Russian Fede U-part wig the entire week (1+ year review coming soon), and it held up wonderfully.

As for my sandals, I purchased these from Etsy (I'll link the seller here). They're handmade in Greece, a  simple leather sole with elastic cord straps. I'm in love! I'm not a flip flop girl, I hate to succumb to what is "normal" beach wear, so of course I decided to opt for something with more personality.

The sandals aren't the cheapest, however I plan on keeping them for a long time. I only buy sandals once every two the three years until they fall apart... because I take a simple pair and wear them with everything. And I'm sure with the way the weather is here in Chicago, I wont be getting AS much wear out of them as I would if I still lived in Texas.

But can we just talk about how AMAZING the food is again, just one more time.

We went to Mama's Fish House in Paia, they have the most MARVELOUS food. Not only that, but right in the backyard of the restaurant is a beautiful beach scene with black rocks. We got there an hour early to do some pre-dinner photo snapping.

The waves were on point that day!

I wore a Forever 21 bralet with beading and an American Apparel skirt, and I accessorized with a necklace and gold bangle, both from Etsy, and Asos mirrored sunglasses.

Even though Hawaii is known for its flowery, pretty water scenes, I'm not a water person, and I love rugged textures. Especially in photography... I love taking pictures with wood, brick and rocky backgrounds.

Clearly the Hubbs was having fun taking pictures of me (:

I mean who takes photos like that with an IPHONE? My maansss (:

We were so sad to leave. I definitely want to go back one day!

And when we do go back, I'm climbing those mountains! xx
